Ingredients:
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/2 yellow onion, diced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 pounds ground turkey
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 3 tablespoons Rendezvous seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1/2 bottle beer
- 1/2 cup Rendezvous sauce
- 1 14-ounce can tomato sauce
- 1 large tomato, chopped
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1 14-ounce can pinto beans
Instructions:
- In a large Dutch oven, heat olive oil over medium heat.
- Cook onion until translucent.
- Add garlic, turkey, Worcestershire, and seasonings.
- Break down turkey with a wood spoon and combine, cooking until browned.
- Add beer to deglaze the pot and bring to a boil — the alcohol will cook off.
- Add BBQ sauce, tomato sauce, tomatoes, tomato paste, and beans.
- Bring soup back to a boil, then simmer for at least 20 minutes.
